Capital City: Asuncion. Paraguay is a mediterraneous country, with a total area of 406,752 km2, located in the center spot of South America, and therefore it is called “The Heart of South America”. Through its borders, totalizing 3,484.00 km, the Republic of Paraguay interrelates with three great countries – Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina. Brazil and Bolivia have their borders in the North; Brazil and Argentina have borders in the East; Argentina has borders in the South; and Argentina and Bolivia have borders in the West.

LOGISTICS
Notwithstanding the fact that Paraguay is a mediterraneous country, it is logistically factible to ship containers using river barges at Asuncion Port and nearbies thanks to the existence of the river hydroway formed by the Paraguay and Parana rivers, allowing the access to the maritime transshipment ports of Montevideo and Buenos Aires. From said ports, the goods are shipped to their final destinations in Europe or the United States.
